Starting in NY, Michele spent 6 years working in post production. As much as she enjoyed the post world, she yearned to be on set in production. Hollywood was the place to be, so she packed her bags and headed West.
To get her foot in the door, she worked on student projects and independent films. After meeting a Production Designer, she worked steadily for several years as an Art Department Coordinator on commercials, features, and television. Still she wasn’t able to be on set as often as she would have liked, and so felt very drawn to Script Supervision. With her organizational skills and attention to detail, she saw this craft as her best career match. Along the way Michele pursued professional training with Randi Feldman and Mark Thomas in order to learn the best industry practices.
Shortly after Michele began working, she recognized the potential computers would bring to Script Supervising. She headed straight to the Apple genius bar and became one of the digital pioneers in the trade. Honing her digital skills across a wide variety of applications, networking with other Script Supervisors, exchanging information, and gaining practical experience became her singular focus.
While circulating in the industry, many people inquired about the digital aspects of Script Supervision. This conversation evolved into Michele teaching seminars and offering private lessons to help her fellow comrades enter the digital world. Today she continues to teach industry practices and works professionally on commercials, features, and television.
